The Blindest Date
After further contact with his new ~~sidekick~~ comrade, Varon had prepared dinner reservations at a respectable establishment in Bludhaven. It had been established that the fair innocent maiden was only a civilian, and so he would be meeting her not as VARON - THE HYPER-TEEN, but as mild-mannered Virgil O'Valeron. He arrived suitably early and took the liberty of making a wine selection for them. He also brought flowers and chocolates, and now waits for her to grace him with her no doubt radiant presence.

	Maria was going to kill Thomas for this blind date. She knew it was revenge for the karaoke, but she was still going to kill him. Or at least make his life every miserable for the foreseeable future. She pulled up on her bike and climbed off. She was in a pants suit. She didn't do dresses unless it was a formal affair. The flowers are just a simple mixed bouquet. Fine-tuning of his research into Terran courtship rituals had warned him that roses could be considered 'too forward'.

"Virgil O'Valeron. Pleased to meet you." There's a touch of Scottish brogue to his voice, but it sounds almost displaced and genuine at the same time. He seats her carefully, then sits down across from her, extending a hand. "So, how did our mutual acquaintance inform you about this evening?"

"From where I'm sitting, I'm not sure how much of a favor it was. I don't think you'd have any trouble getting a date yourself if you stepped away from your work more often." He grins, before nodding to the waiter that showed up to pour the wine.

"Time for yourself isn't just time not working, it's time that lets you restore the parts of your mind that make you good at your work."
