Elsewhere During the Trial
Among the many servants to T'Challa and Ororo, most were not what they seemed. One in particular, however, ventured out to gather supplies. Walking through the streets of the capitol city, the human-form Skrull gave nervous glances every corner he turned. The trial was about to begin, but the presence of the Avengers made him nervous. There were not many Skrulls in Wakanda, and they did not have the backing of the Empire.

James and Steve had talked to everyone they could about what happened. It seemed like no one had a clue to what was really going on and it was frustrating to say the least.

They were now heading to go talk to Akilah when they crossed paths with the servant. Living in a house of paranoid people and spending a year fighting Ultron and his robots had made James more aware of people's behaviors and the servant walking in front of them was not acting normally.

He nudged Steve with an elbow and then nodded toward the servant.

	Steve was a little more oblivious, taking after his father a bit in the brains department, but with a former SHIELD agent mother, it wasn't too difficult to figure out what James was talking about. He nodded back at James, making a quick "let's follow him" gesture. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Steve went right, keeping a careful eye on the servant. Something definitely wasn't right here. It was one of those times when his dad would say his "Hawkeye senses" were tingling. Then Mom would remind him he didn't have "Hawkeye-senses" and it all just went downhill from there. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The room was silent. T'Challa stood at the center before his wife, Ororo. An audience of guards, civilians, and high ranking men and women of Wakanda. Servants lurked in the background, actually Skrulls in disguise. The trial was nearing it's end, and Akilah walked angrily back to her seat, but she remained standing. She looked at Daniel for comfort-an act she found herself often doing now.

"Ororo Munroe." T'Challa's voice filled the hall. If he was sad or displeased with the outcome of the trial, he did not show it. As a leader, that much was expected of him. Out of respect for the wishes of his council, he wore the suit of the Black Panther while he spoke. Only the mask was lifted, so that he could convey the desired emotions his people demanded of him.

"I have come to the decision that, among all the evidence given, you are guilty of attacking and heavily injuring the capitol of Wakanda."

Akilah clenched her hands and directed the strongest glare she could muster at her father. He caught it, but seemed to ignore it. Deep down, he was overridden with guild, anguish, and other emotions he could not allow himself to show. But this was a time that he could not afford to show doubt. Nothing had proven his Love innocent, and the words of his daughter could not sway his council or his people.

"The lives of many of our people are lost at your hands, and you shall repay them with yours. I sentence you, to death."

Nobody cheered, but the air was filled with satisfaction. And behind it all, the Skrulls silently cheered for their victory. One member of the council stepped forward to T'Challa, ready to speak to him, but he wasn't given the chance.

	At the very sight of their compromise, the Skrulls did not bother with their facade any longer. The servants stopped their actions from behind the scene, and all of them reverted to their Skrull forms. And the councilman that stood close to T'Challa, too, transformed. The Skrulls were not weak, but neither were the Avengers. Akilah's magic was powerful, and James and Steve were skilled fighters that were taking down a fair number of Skrulls. But the Skrulls still had numbers on their side. They attacks in a second wave, this time paying attention to all of the Avengers on the battlefield.

Akilah charged into the fight with fire in one hand, and lightning in the other. She was not coming out of this fight unscathed, but she was fighting with everything she had.

Black Panther vs Super Skrull

Black Panther launched himself at the Super Skrull and swiped his claws at it's face. Wakanda had been fooled into betraying it's Queen, and the King was not happy.

The Super Skrull sent a blast of lightning to intercept T'Challa. He had the powers of their Queen and supposed Goddess. "Time to die, foolish leader."

T'Challa was sent back into some chairs, and he gritted his teeth to stifle a shout. His suit kept away off much of the damage, but it couldn't keep away everything. He got up and threw part of a chair at the Super Skrull and used that for cover to make his next attack.

	The Super Skrull tossed aside the incoming chair with a gust of wind and was struck by T'Challa. The struggle between the two got really intense, really fast. They were soon fighting their way out of the view of the Avengers and the rest of the Skrulls. (Reply to this)(Parent)

Victory

After the battle had been won by the Avengers, a figure emerged from a smokescreen. The Black Panther, T'Challa, dragged his defeated foe by the collar. Wakanda was victorious once again, but their leader was wounded. His costume was torn and charred, and he had fresh wounds. "Wakanda is victorious!" he shouted. "And its Queen is proven innocent of all charges!!"
