Gretchen and Rose hadn't really had time to talk alone since Rose came back. And gosh, did they have a lot to talk about.

So they'd found a little place on the grounds.

"Hey, when do you do anything by halves?" Gretchen mutters, muffled by her shoulder. "I'll be there. No matter where we've gone, I'll be there." Pause. "We're going again, by the way. Brad just can't function here, he couldn't have even at the Xavier's at home, and, well, I've cast my lot in with him." She's somber for a moment, then grins. "Even if I'm beaten to the altar."

"We've been planning. Like I said, Brad can't function here; it just wouldn't work. We were never cut out for Institute stuff the way you two were, and, well, I could give it a try but he can't, and I 'd rather be with him. So we've been planning how we're going to support ourselves. He's been picking up money gambling; I've been doing economic research... we're going to do what it takes to open ourselves up a little den of sin in Jersey or somewhere, I think."
