At Home With the Flu (Injury Meme Edition)
For he first time in his entire life (which let's face it, it's been one long, trippy life), Dolemeck was struck down by a pretty bad illness. He never whimpered or whined about his injuries, and at times appeared as though they never brought him pain. But this... this was a whole different beast! He felt hot, then cold. His body was sweaty, his forehead warm, and if he moved from his position in his bed he thought he was going to die. Everything ached, in the same way he ached when he was knocked off of his horse at a jousting event a thousand years earlier. What the hell was wrong with him?

Well, this is a pain in the ass. Derek was trying very hard to avoid getting sick himself, but in the process apparently Dolemeck caught the disease he had been avoiding. Oh well. Soup for the sick cousin.

"Hey, Dole, I have soup coming in for you. You acceptable?"

Dolemeck could only groan. He had kicked off all his blankets once more and was just laying in his bed, in a pair of plaid boxers. His long black hair was nearly soaked in sweat, and he had dark rings under his eyes. When Derek opened the door to come in, he could barely lift his head up to see him.

"Derek... is this what death feels like?" He asked, his voice shaky and weak. "Do I have the plague?"

"Never been dead. You'd have to ask Mom," Derek said as he carefully brought the soup into the room and gingerly placed the bowl onto the side table.

"And I'm fairly certain you don't have the plague. It looks like the flu. It sucks, but it happens."

Like how it happened to Derek. How was the disease able to make him sick despite him being nigh-invulnerable?

"So here, keep hydrated and eat. I got some water coming for you. And this soup will help."

The smell of food, any kind of food just made him ten times sicker. Dolemeck could barely walk, much less run as he bolted past Derek with his hand over his mouth. He rushed into the bathroom, unsteady on his feet, and just emptied what little he had into his stomach into. Thankfully nothing ended up in his long hair, but the poor creature was reduce to dry heaves afterwards.

Perhaps it was an oversight on his Parent's part, but Dolemeck never had a flu shot in his life. This meant he was going to be far sicker than Derek could ever get with the flu! Once he finished heaving, Dolemeck flushed the toilet and just laid down on the bathroom floor. the cold tile sort of felt nice, as he was burning up.

"I'm sorry..." he whimpered helplessly.

Derek was quick enough to duck out of the way without spilling the food, but it was pretty clear what was going on. So Derek let it happen.

"Nothing to be sorry about. We didn't even *know* you could get sick."

"Apparently I can get sick." he groaned. "I have NEVER been sick in my entire life. If you got sick in my time, you usually died. In this day and age, you WISH you died with whatever I have come down with."

Dolemeck almost curled up into a fetal position on the bathroom floor. "I cannot even get upppp..."
