Corey was working on a sculpture. It was of the Blonde Phantom, the 1940s crimefighter. Corey was drawing on a spread about her in an art-photography book from the '40s.

Jenny paused in the doorway of Corey's studio with a sandwich in hand. It was a long lunch break from the bookshop because she would be working until late. It seemed that more and more she was working longer hours and loving every second of it.

"Are you far enough along in the process for a viewing?" she asked curiously. She was as fascinated with the art as anyone who couldn't draw a straight line with a ruler and someone else holding the pencil.
