There was about a week to go until July 4th, or as Marlow so accurately put it, Fireworks Day! Martin loved fireworks, even moreso ever since he figured out how to make his own with magic years ago. So tonight he sat on the roof of the Thunderbolts HQ ready to do a test run. The city of Boston would get an unscheduled fireworks show. City officials could be confused as they wanted, but he wasn't actually using real fireworks, just making the effects using magic. Plus, the bang they let off was part of the experience. He also had some new ones he wanted to try.

It might be a little hard to sleep at the TBolts HQ if your room wasn't soundproofed tonight. But Martin was determined to put on a great show.

	Anya was coming up from the lab and heard the explosions. At first she thought they were under attack, but when no walls were blown in and most of the building destroyed she went to find the source of the booms. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Up on the roof she'd find the team's mage standing and waving his arms in a dramatic manner such that it looked like he was conducting for an invisible orchestra. As he did, another firework went up, a brilliant blue and silver, while another spiralled around it, this one red and gold. When they reached high enough, leaving trails of bright sparkles behind them, there was another loud boom, and the explosion lit up the sky.

As the fireworks rained down, Martin watched them, then looked over his shoulder to smile at Anya. "Hello Boss. I'm practicing for next week."

He grinned at what he took as encouragement, and turned back to continue. "Because next week is important for fireworks. And we're going to have the best ones of any city! Kelly probably will want to set her own off."

As he spoke, he waved his arms up and half a dozen brightly coloured jets shot out of seemingly nowhere in the sky and weaved through each other, exploding as they did so, resulting in an incredibly bright and colourful show across the Boston night sky.

	"Oh Kelly would never forget about those things! But at least the charmed fireworks I gave her are safe because they won't go off if there's people too close. "I could teleport her there then. It's easier than a plane and safer. Because then you don't have to deal with her and bombs or guns on a plane," he said, trying to be helpful. Once the sky was cleared a bit, his next one went up, it shot across the sky, looking like a spiralling blue rocket, before it shot straight up and exploded into the Thunderbolts logo.

"That one's new!"

"They have a big place! I didn't know you've met her though. She's excellent at illusions, you should ask her to show you some next time you're there. And she does great fireworks too!" He chattered happily, as he waved his arms around again to continue the fireworks show. The next one burst into red and gold, in a shape that looked like a person flying across the sky.
