Open Mic Night (open)
Dante was enjoying winter break along with his parents being out of town. When they were home he had a curfew and didn't get go to out much. When they were away, well his curfew disappeared and he was able to go out quite a bit more. His older sister Rachel was quite a bit more lenient than their parents.

Tonight was open mic night in a club and it was all ages. He had his guitar with him and was scheduled to go on in about an hour.

	Ben, while not a very musical person, had enough musical friends performing that he was going to show up for. 	Daniel almost fumbles with his earplugs a couple times. As it is, the ones he has are just noise cancellers, not total deafness plugs, so he's struggling, but having more luck fighting than the others, even if the real thrust of the music is that his strength and speed are at a low ebb. 	Once his snickering subsides, Ben finds himself tapping his foot along to the music. Odd, he didn't care for Starry Twilight songs. Sure he didn't find them ear-bleeding terrible but that didn't mean he ever followed along to the tune. Plus there was a weird deja vu to this, and that familiar distant buzzing starting in his head. 	Daniel is struggling with it. The earplugs help, and being psychic helps - but its still not easy. He may not have anywhere near even his normal strength or speed, but its still enough to lift a table and fling it towards the stage. Off target, just smashing some of the backdrop, but he hopes it might be enough distraction to let someone else respond. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The disruption is enough -- especially with her self-analytic brain comparing to previous hypnotic exposure -- to Elaine to snap out of it and cover her ears. This gives her no hands, but it at least she's not charging Daniel... and she hopes Daniel will excuse her for shouldering herself into Ellie and shoving her, so at least Daniel isn't ganged up upon quite so fast.

Their table being thrown has that low buzzing in the background flare up to ear splitting levels in time for him to duck as the table goes over his head. But it's partly in a cringing ear-covering way. Very deja vu, especially since covering his ears makes the buzzing louder, helping it drown out the music. As a result he doesn't hear the lyrics change to attacking Daniel but when the buzzing gets louder again, he looks around to find the entire place staring in their direction. "Oh shit," he whispered and turned to look at the others, noticing that half were gone from the table, and the glaring was all at Daniel specifically. Oh this was some of that weird hypnotic music wasn't it? It was a different band this time too! If this was going to happen every single time...

Ben slid off his chair, still holding onto his ears, and onto the floor as he looked over his shoulder to where the singer was. This'd make him harder to see at least, because they'd be looking if it worked. He lifted his chair with a foot before tossing it up and rolling onto his back to send the chair barrelling towards the singer with a powerful kick. Maybe that'd take care of the lyrics issues and cause some distraction.

Daniel tries to gesture Elaine towards the band. He's being mobbed, by the crowd, and now by some of his friends too much to do any more, focusing just on trying to power his way towards a wall so it limits the directions people can come at him from. But he can be a distraction while others hopefully disrupt the really bad music.

The mind control too, of course. But that's secondary. End the terrible boy band noise, someone, please.

He's still on the floor as people rush by him to get to Daniel, and Ben takes advantage of the commotion to stay low and move in the direction of the stage, sliding under a table closer to the band. As he does so, still staying crouched and obscured by those heading to Daniel, Ben throws another chair at the band, now aiming for the instruments themselves. One more chair then hands back to his ears to cover them in case the music starts up again, at least he's unseen under a table for now.

Someone's got to deal with the band after all, and it looked like it'd be him and Elaine on that while Daniel ended up as distraction. Four instruments to put out of commission, and he'd already thrown two chairs to try and hit them, hopefully it had taken out at least one.

	If Ellie reacts to the initial shove, Elaine doesn't know. She sees Daniel's cue and hightails it a proper Wingfoot speed for for the band. The chair disrupted them for a moment. She wants to see how they do with a foot through their equipment. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He can see from under the table that people are returning bak to normal, so Ben takes his hands off his ears and shoots some webbing from his hiding place, specifically aimed at their feet and the floor in front of the running band.
