[long, long, yesterday when the sun was high up in the sky and Izuna was still alive, back when he was still young and more importantly, alive. did I say alive? because yeah, not dead.]

[comes back to their hotel room they have been staying at with a huge grin and the indiscriminate brown paper bag under his arm, the same hand sporting another bag that has a nice aroma coming from it. took a couple of guesses to get back here since they move around so much, going to previous hotels by mistake.] Aniki? [calls out and looks around. maybe he is out.] Aniki? [puts the bags down on the cheap wooden table the place supplied and first goes to the bathroom to look for him because let's face it, there is a bathroom, a main living area and a bed. not many places to look.]

[takes Izuna's hand back and is the one who tugs him forward instead, wanting to let him know he's not in too much pain, though... he is kind of. but the urge to eat is outweighing it. gets to the restaurant and they're seated, and given water in... really fancy champagne glasses.] ... We should steal these. [teases, running his finger along the rim. steals everything.]

	Look at how many forks they use. [picks up, one, two... three!] These could come in handy too. [plans to take them as well. who knows when a fork can be used. they look sharp.] We can eat for a week with these prices. 	That sounds good. [orders when the waiter comes back, bringing them salad and breadsticks. which look perfect and buttery and garlicy...] Everything here smells great. [reaches over with mouth open and chomps on it, chewing too quickly and swallowing not really enjoying the flavor but damn it, he is hungry.] Lettuce comes on burgers. They are usually wilted and tastes like... rubber. [stabs fork into the lettuce and tests.] Mmm, this is crisp! Try some. [drizzles some kind of dressing on it from the bottle and holds it out with his hand underneath. must try to have some manners and not drip.]

[food shouldn't be this exciting and he should really be more on guard but... they're two hours away from trouble, for the moment they're safe and... why shouldn't he be allowed to enjoy himself for once? they'll probably never have a chance to do this again, and even though he always tells Izuna one day they'll be out of this life, knows they're condemned to it. they could never have normal productive lives, too many crimes under their belts now, too deep into this to just safely back out. even if they did, it's only a matter of time before someone from the past catches up to them.] ... [takes the bite of salad, giving a nod of approval, wiping the bit of dressing off his lips.] It's good. I like the bread more. Very buttery... I like that. Like how home cooking should be.

	I always think of hearty stews and yeah, crusty bread and sitting in front of a fire with hot drinks. Something thick that warms you up and makes you feel good all over from happiness, not just in your belly. 	You mean like those fruit juice ones mixed with crushed ice and fancy things sticking out of it that you see people drink in pools in ads? [it is fun to lie to people! studies the drinks when they arrive, taking the little umbrella out of his and putting it in Izuna's. there, now he has two.] It's pretty good... very sweet. I guess that's the coconut. [and then the food arrives and... it smells so good. could get used to this kind of living, but knows he has to savor it, they don't live this kind of life, so it's just a nice illusion for now. this whole meal will probably cost more than all the clothes he owns.]
