In a rather unusual perch...up on the roof to be exact...Josh is watching Avalon with a smile. He was just up there resting and recentering himself when he sensed the activity below and took a peek.

The healer's enjoying the show though, watching with a smile. "Nice..." he trails off quietly, humming a little tune as Ava seems to dance.

Ava hears something, and comes out of the twirl with his senses alert. It's easy to get the boy out of the war zone.. but not the war zone out of the boy. Ocean eyes scan the yard and then move onwards as Avalon opens up his senses... until.. he finds who he was looking for.

Tipping his head back, Avalon raises a brow to Josh as he says "I swear that you would never touch the ground if you had the chance."

Avalon is sweaty and winded, though in an exhilarated mood. A blue glow envelops him as he wills himself up to the roof, and settles next to Josh, still breathing hard.

Seeing Ava on the alert, Josh glances up and scans with his senses quickly. Finding no threats, the healer just smiles. He looks back down and waves to Ava.

"Naw, I just like to climb and stuff," he chuckles.

He waits for Ava to settle next to him and then leans over for a hug, not minding the sweat. "You're good."

"I'm trying.." replies Avalon with a sweet little smile as he leans in towards Josh, and then continues to stay leaned in against the other boy's shoulder once the hug ends.

"The stars are different here." he says softly, while looking up at the sky. "I haven't learned them yet.."

Josh smiles and lets Ava lean. He slips an arm around the other hero's shoulders and looks to the sky as well.

"I don't know much about the stars. Just a couple constellations and where the North Star is."

Grinning some, Avalon cuddles in, curling himself towards Josh's larger frame. It's peaceful up there on the roof, and he can't help but heave out a sigh.

"Which one is the North Star?" he then asks, full of curiosity.

Josh blinks a few times and lets out a little noise as he looks around. "Ah ha," he says. A hand is lifted and a finger pointed. "Right there. Polaris, the North Star. It's part of the Little Dipper constellation and Ursa Minor...the little bear," he explains, pointing to the bright star.

"I see it!" cries Avalon, a hand coming up to grip Josh's knee in his excitement. He then flushes a bit, his smile soft as he says "Sometimes, I wonder if I will ever get to show you Naltor.."

Another sigh leaves Avalon's lips, and his head bonks down on Josh's shoulder as he looks towards the sky. "I want to take you there, but I worry that going that far into Space will upset you. We're a very long way from Naltor.."

Josh jumps slightly at Ava's excitement but smiles. "Great," he says, thinking about getting Avalon a book on astrology at some point. He looks a little nervous at the mention of space travel though.

"I'd just need time to adjust...being so far from living things..." he shivers.

Smiling, Avalon nods his head and allows his ring to start glowing.. And from another pocket dimension he brings out a blue lantern battery - much like Henry's if Josh has seen it, but bright blue and with a stylized handle.

"Yes. Like this." he says with a smile. "This is my battery, but there is another much like it, yet bigger and brighter.. it powers mine and allows my ring to recharge when I am away from Henry." he explains. Avalon then flashes Josh another bright smile, his tone soft as he says "Without Henry, I'm really not much to speak of. I can fly in space but.. that's about it. Without a Green, a Blue will never realize their full potential. Without a Blue, a Green will never realize theirs as well."

Josh peers curiously as Ava opens another dimensional pocket. When the blue power battery appears, Josh gasps and his eyes go wide.
"Woah," he whispers.

"That's...intense," he murmurs. "So blue and green are linked? What about the other colors? Any of them have connections?"

"Not that I know of, though I could be wrong. Compassion such as Katima's Indigo work hand in hand with other colors." replies Avalon, his hands cradling the blue battery in his lap carefully. It's obvious that this must be his most prized possession - he strokes the cool metal with gentle fingertips as he smiles up at Josh.

"All of the colors are linked.. but Blue and Green are the only ones that need each other.. And really only the Blue needs the green. But when isn't Will and Hope linked? You must have the willpower to see hope in the bleakest of times.. and you must have hope to be able to muster willpower."

Josh lets out a thoughtful noise. "Yeah...she can like...copy the other colors when she's close to them," he murmurs. The healer watched Ava's fingers and the battery, a little surprised by the feelings he's getting from it.

"Feels sorta like Katima's staff..." he murmurs. "That does make sense," he says. "Hmm. Now I've seen every color but orange and yellow working..." he trails off, unaware of black or white rings at the moment.

"Malicor, the one who tried to take me in space is an Orange Lantern." replies Avalon softly. The mention of Avarice's Agent causes him to shudder, and he hides his face against Josh for a moment.

"That was really scary.." he then breathes out. "I couldn't do anything but try to shield myself.. and then when he fired that final blow, I was sure that I was never going to wake up again." Avalon's face colors a bit, and his smile turns rather sweet as he says softly, "When I woke up, Henry was the first thing that I saw.."

Josh frowns at the mention of Malicor. He's decidedly not a fan of that guy.

The healer smirks a bit. "Nice sight to wake up to," he teases just a little.

That causes Avalon to laugh, and he flashes Josh a wide smile as he says "Yea.. great to wake up to in the middle of a fire fight."

He then sighs out a breath and closes his eyes, managing to hug his battery and cuddle Josh at the same time, somehow. Wings are involved though.

"Last night was crazy.." he finally murmurs.

"Hey, better Henry than like...a monster," Josh grins. He holds onto Avalon and nods. When the previous night is mentioned, Josh goes bright red. "Yeah...it was."

Josh glances up from packing his backpack for the next day and smiles. "Hey, Henry. What's up?" he asks, setting the bag aside.

"Hey, you got a minute?" he asks quietly, sliding down the wall to sit beside him on the floor.

Josh frowns in concern and settles back. "Yeah. I always have time for you," he says.

"I wanted to make sure you were doing alright. I mean, you and me... we don't look at things the same way Kat and Blue do."

The healer blinks and tilts his head to the side. "What do you mean?" he asks, a bit confused.

Henry gestures. "This whole thing. Like... last night. I wanted to see where your head was at and make sure you're okay."

"Oh...you mean the whole quartet thing," Josh replies with a nod. "Yeah, I'm fine. Still a little weirded out by the fact that I was doing that all," he blushes. "with a girl right there in the bed too but it'll pass."
