"Genoshan Consulate. Giovanna Bennet speaking. How can I help you?"

"I have a way with that." He had been pretty sure his grandfather would respond well to a bold stand. And was glad he was right. Magneto may not agree with him, but he understands strength.

She snorted a little and shook her head, another mouthful of rice into her mouth to halt a response. But really, it was the best possible scenario out of several fairly disastrous possibilities.

"maybe later I can go for a walk? I've always wanted to see a *real* city..." at least a city she hadn't silent her entire life in.

Angelo would jump out of his seat, would it not result in several ounces of rice and seafood being scattered. "I would be happy to take you on a tour of the city, Charlotte." He barely keeps from putting an exclamation point on the end of that.

Sengai didn't like New York. If he could he'd stay in the Consulate all day.

Angelo smiles confidently. "I'll put together a schedule for us tomorrow then. I'm sure I can find tickets for something. Are there any plays you've heard of that catch your interest?"

He supposed Avenue Q could be a shared guilty pleasure, if it came to him making suggestions... it was certainly about as American as a play could get, and local acclimation was important.
