i have somebody interested in filling a castmate sl for me, but the character the person's proposing reeks to the high heavens of special-snowflake-itis with their unrealistically flawless resume and super sweet personality, and i really don't think i can stomach that.

my char is reasonably well liked and i spend a lot of time taking the initiative in terms of interacting, but i don't have any good, solid storylines and i've been around for a good while now. i'm going to stick it out for a few more weeks but i think click might not be the place for me.

i hate how defensive people get in here the second anybody says something that's not entirely positive. the anon above doesn't deserve to be made to feel like THEY are doing everything wrong when they're having trouble finding deeper sls. i'm of the belief that you are largely in charge of creating your own fun in a comm, but there does come a point when it feels like you're swimming against the tide and people favor other characters over yours. i've been there, at times with ~click even, and it sucks.

maybe i didn't read it all, but i saw a lot of positive suggestions about how other people escaped this feeling. it's not to say that they will work for everyone but they might work for that character too
