surprisingly he really prefers quiet, calm relationships as opposed to wild, passionate ones. i don't think a lot of people realize this but i have it written as him being married before, though that marriage was only two months, and it was wild and passionate in really terrible ways - he hates drama and not being in control of situations, he likes his domesticated, calm life!

god, i have no idea what would wipe that out for him, it's so ingrained in his damn soul. as fucked up as it is, it would probably take something HUGE, like his sister's statistically inevitable suicide, to really knock it out, but then at the same time i also feel like (also fucked up) that would be an equally freeing event for him. it could probably also be knocked out of him if his wife left him, that would be a really devastating blow for him because he has so much of himself wrapped up in her.

he would absolutely never cheat. he's never cheated on anybody in his entire life, even his little elementary school girlfriends, and he won't admit it but he kind of looks down on people who do cheat regardless of their reasons. if he felt himself developing feelings to the point where he felt tempted to cheat, he would divorce first. he plays hard, but he's very much about honor and pride and when he does something he feels other people would look down on him for, he carries it with him for a long, LONG time, so he would never.

does it bother him that his friends know nothing about/aren't getting to know his wife? and if so, who does he fault? i mean, she doesn't seem to be interested in befriending any of them from what i've seen. but i'm a random third party....mostly. kinda. a little.

i don't think it does, actually. he's never had any horrific experiences with people breaking his trust - there have been a couple incidents where it was shaken a bit, even in game, but not the kind that completely threw trust out the window. he loves people, he wants to see the good in the worst person, and he feels like everyone deserves a chance at being trusted. that being said, though, he's good at reading people, and he's good at judging what he can and can't say to whom, so he's cautious, but not untrusting. the only person in game he truly tells everything to is chloe, even his closest friends don't get the WHOLE ENTIRE THING, because there are a few things in his past that would throw everyone's view of him into a blender, and he knows that.

that kind of surprises me tbh, lmao. i really thought that he would be the type of character who's super guarded even though he's so outgoing. but i really like that he's fairly trusting! does he think that he could ever find someone other than chloe whom he really does trust and know enough and feel comfortable enough that he WOULD tell the entire thing to?

i think there are only three situations that would genuinely shake him up: losing his friends, losing his wife, deaths. i think he could be very calm through most anything else, he doesn't like to lose his cool, even when he's alone.

oh anon. he loves julie so much, but it's just not like that for him :( there are various reasons he wouldn't be able to see that working out. i think, in an alternate universe, he could very easily fall for vdv or rxnne.

i know you say he wouldn't ever cheat and stuff. but do you think that's based on his current state of mind? basically what i'm asking is, do you think something could happen? people change, people grow apart, people grow together. so i'm not asking if he would consider cheating, because obviously he has a serious moral code that goes with it and good for him, but do you think he could fall for someone else/could cheat? even if not physically

i genuinely don't think he could, anon. he's got such a huge amount of himself poured into his relationship right now, he's doing things that he never even considered doing before, like moving away from his hometown - i just don't see it even presenting itself as a viable option for him. like i said in the other question, if he did find himself starting to fall for someone to the point where it became tempting to cheat, he'd divorce first. he wouldn't compromise himself in that way.
