how do i tell someone that a role they're considering for their char might not fit considering casting rumours that are floating around?

depends on what basis you think they won't fit. the only reason i would ever do that would be if the role calls for someone of a specific age and the character is significantly older or younger, like if the film role is for a father of 4 teenagers but someone wants to put their 25 year old character in it. or if the role calls for someone of a specific ethnicity for a specific reason, like giving tom cruise the role of othello.

i tend to agree with this, and if the scenario fits these criteria i'd dropbox them with something like "hey did you know that they're considering actress x for this role? here's a link to more information" so i didn't come across like a complete asshole
