looking at the praise page and having been reading the comments for the last few posts here, i am starting to think that if you aren't super active here your character gets pretty well ignored in comm. it's frustrating.

you don't get ignored, anon, but a sincere active effort to comment lots of people and keep conversations going is what it takes to stand out in a comm this huge. it's not about popularity, it's about us having 200 members. it's easy to get lost in the shuffle.

but like i've commented people, i've had my character tweet others, and it's still like i have to do all the work, when i've seen tons of anons whine about having no friends for their character, or wishing they had this filled or whatever. it's just discouraging. don't get me wrong i love the four friends my character has, but i wouldn't mind more.

anon, as someone with a character who could be considered semi-"popular" (although i hate that word), you have to spend a lot of time and be willing to do all the work. i would say that even now that i'm established, i do about 75% of the work as far as sending the first im, spamming customs, spamming fos, keeping up conversations in comments, etc goes.

why can't i find someone like you then? :( then we could share the work! i just miss the times when rp was more 50/50 and if i commented you today, the next time you would, or i would im you tonight, tomorrow you would. you know?

these comments really upset me because i try to be as active as possible and comment everyone i can, but the fact is that we have 196 characters. i can't devote all my time to commenting the friends page just so everyone else feels special. i have my own sls within the comm that i need to keep up with and i feel like i'm spreading myself too thin when i try to comment everything on the friends page.

i know it feels like you're doing all the work, but that's what it's like for everyone here. try commenting someone else's mixalots post instead of making your own in order to start a conversation, send a random im, take the time to make a thoughtful update that provides people with something to comment on instead of an update consisting of youtubes of your pb. it takes a lot of time but you have to be proactive and give substance in order to get activity here.

i don't post a lot of mixalots or anything. i try to go around answering people's questions when they ask them above a random or mix. see i've never posted a youtube in this comm, or anything that doesn't give insight into my character. so while some of the writers take the, for lack of a better word, lazy way out and post youtubes and mixes constantly, i take more time with my character. i've even worked out lines with people and look for that person to post so that i do have something to comment. i don't expect all 200 people to comment my character. but when i have worked out lines, why should i always have to initiate contact? why can't the other person just once in awhile?

i wouldn't say ignored, but if a character is not really around a lot/doesn't talk to a lot of the game how are people supposed to know how they feel or what to say about them?
