i'm sorry anon! you're more than welcome to opt out. we just don't know of another way to let people know who isn't eligible to win. i really don't want to single anyone out and i'm very sorry if you feel that way! i hope that when you see the categories, that you'll feel a bit better about being involved. there are currently 50 or so so i'm hoping that everyone will be included :)

it's not a butthurt, wah wah i don't think anyone will vote for me thing. i just don't care for awards and what they've done to other games i've been in, so i'd rather not participate. however,if it's going to be obvious that i opted out, i would rather just participate since it's going to look like a butthurt wah wah i don't think anyone will vote for me thing. does that make sense?

	not op but you have the option of ignoring awards entirely - not opting out, but not voting or acknowledging them either. that's what i plan to do. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

anon, i think everyone who is working on the awards would really appreciate if you were to opt out instead of just ignoring everything. we're doing opt outs so we don't have to weed through everyone here and pick out the people who didn't vote/don't want to do this. as it is right now, we're going to be making over 150 awards for the winners and to have someone who didn't want to participate win and not even care isn't fair to the other people who want to participate. please don't take this as me yelling at you or anything like that! we're just trying to make this run as smoothly as we can and with RL obligations, opting out would just make everyones lives easier. :\

i really don't think people will harass you for not participating, anon. it's a matter of choice and everyone have their own opinion on things like this. if you would like opt out and then ignore everything, by my guest. we just ask that you do opt out. i really do hope that once you see the categories and how this will be run that you will want to participate. we're doing everything we can to make sure everyone is included and has fun!
