dude, just own it. lexie does. it's okay for fictional characters not to like your fictional character. it doesn't say anything about you as a person, nobody seems to be upset with YOU as a writer. unless you're getting ooc criticism somewhere that i don't know about. i don't mean for this to sound harsh, i just want you to do what makes sense for your character and not take stuff personally, for your own happiness.

i really, really appreciate that. i do. i just always want to make everyone happy, you know? hahah. i'm not getting OOC criticism at all, i just feel bad that other writers are having characters that are all uncomfortable and shit. when, you know ... they might like that haha. they might like what it gives their character. i don't know! i just worry too much.

i'm not crossing lines. what she does IC is based off of what people complain to her about. me worrying about it OOC is me worrying.

oc here, the above comment was not me. you shouldn't make assumptions about what other writers are feeling, especially when you have no ooc evidence. ic evidence of discomfort does not immediately translate to ooc discomfort. what lexie does is up to you and how other characters react to it is up to them. if the writers are unhappy, they don't have to engage. i think it would be a really bad decision to make ic decisions based on ooc assumptions. like you said, some writers enjoy letting their characters be uncomfortable.

no i know. and the truth is, if she does pull back on what she says, it's because this stuff has been thrown at her IC. it's more ... i don't know. she doesn't have that filter, but i might need to give it to her because it's obviously upsetting people and SHE also hates upsetting people. BUT she hates letting people get to her more, so i think her stubborness has come out full force and because of all these secrets, she's gotten her back up and it's making her a louder bitch than before. and i personally am not liking that. i don't like that she's like ... shoving it in people's faces so to speak.

not oc, but don't give her a filter if it would be ooc for her to have one? seriously, you need to relax and learn that it is okay for other chars to not like lexie. until people come to you ooc and say that she bothers them, let it go.

i don't think it would be ooc for her to have one, i think it's an issue that is up in her face right now and she needs to deal with it. i know that not everyone is going to like her. i don't want everyone to like her. i just feel ... i don't know. i'm glad i posted this because i realize now what the issue is. the issue is i don't like what SHE has done and the more secrets she gets, the more i realize that she has this issue she needs to work on.

this is an interactive medium and everyone (hopefully) understands that they are going to subjected to opinions they don't agree with when they decide to participate in rp. whatever. just let her do what she's gotta do ic and let the other writers take responsibility for themselves. nobody should have to apologize ooc for their character. what characters do ic has nothing to do with the writers unless the writers are deliberately bringing ooc feelings ic. if that's not what you're doing, you shouldn't be worrying about anything. period.

oh exactly. and i like that people don't like her. like i've said in a few other comments, i'm glad i've posted this because hearing feed back and truly thinking about it has gotten me to the root of her problem and it's good because it gives her more depth. this is an issue she has to deal with and while she might make more enemies before she fixes it, at least i know now what's going on. i don't feel so in the dark hahaha.

thanks.

i'm glad i posted this. because even if people think it's blurry on my part, i've finally gotten to the root of the problem and why i feel this way. and i know that it's okay to not like something about your character and to make them work through the issue and she definitely has an issue to work through right now. which is GOOD! it adds depth to her and it'll definitely be a great blog update for her in the very near future.
