i've had a song on repeat for the last hour and i'm in love with it but it's sung by a rather obscure broadway performer and none of my friends would appreciate it. ah, my life.

not my ALL-TIME favorite show, but I am indeed a fan!

it was the first show with which i was really obsessed, so i get a little jumpy when i find out other people are fans, too, i apologise! it's such a moving show.

LOL no problem; I do the same thing when I find people who are fans of the same shows as me (Next to Normal, Book or Mormon, In the Heights...). Especially when I find them in my rl, since I am so far from Broadway it isn't even funny.

NEXT TO NORMAL, don't get me started. i live outside of chicago so i'm lucky enough to get some shows through here, but if i lived near nyc, i could die of happiness.

Oh man, I live in the South, but I made enough trips to NYC to see that show. Well, I actually only went twice (which is enough to have some people think I'm crazy) specifically FOR the show (when Brian d'Arcy James joined the show and when I was there for closing night). But yeah, we don't get a lot of tours where I live, so if I were to live in/near NYC, I'd be the happiest person alive (lottery tickets, here I come!)

i wish i could have seen it in nyc! i caught it the weekend between finals and it was so worth spending the $40+ on bus tickets. i bawled like a baby and so did everyone else in the theatre.

Did you get Alice Ripley or her understudy on tour? No offense to Alice, but I prefer the other two ladies I saw (Jessica Phillips & Marin Mazzie) over her. I am jealous that you probably got to see Emma Hunton as Natalie.

i got alice. she was really sick that day so her umlauts were extra umlauty and it made her hard to understand sometimes. and yes, i saw emma. she honestly stole the show.

I saw Alice in New York towards the end of her run. Homegirl sounded ROUGH. I'm just afraid of what she's doing to her voice, but doing the tour and all. That show has NO MERCY on anyone's vocal chords, that's for sure. And yes, I have heard SO many good things about Emma. I wish the tour had even come close to me so I could have seen her. The absolute best time I saw it though, was with Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley, and Meghann Fahy as the Goodmans.

yeah, she sounded really ill and i wasn't even sure why she went on. it's such a demanding part! emma was literally pitch perfect on everything and it was phenomenal. and meghann, i adore her.

oh my god, Meghann was SO amazing. I got to see Jenn twice, and you could just tell she was totally over the show by the time I saw it. Which was a shame. But she was just rushing her lines and just didn't seem to care. When I got to see Meghann...idk...it's like she just GOT the character of Natalie more. She was more hurt!Natalie and less angry!Natalie.

i adore jenn but she was probably ready to go do something else, haha. meghann just seems more subtle.

Oh, I have nothing against Jenn; girl can sing. It was just obvious she was ready to go. It's just rather unfortunate that the thing she chose to go to was Spider-Man, of all things. And yeah, Meghann was much more subtle; it just seemed more believable with the family dynamic too.

spider-man... smh. but at least her and reeve seem happy, haha. hopefully meghann can land another show sometime soon because she's ridiculously talented!

That show is just ridiculous. We, out of random curiosity, looked for cheap-ass tickets to see the show so we could make fun of it, but we weren't willing to pay hardly anything for that. Not when we could see a decent show for the same price (We ended up seeing "How to Succeed..."; we definitely came out ahead!). And I hope she's able to get something too!
