i think it's ridiculous that you all sit around and cry about us doing something that other games do all the time. don't you have more important things to be stressing over?

don't you have more important things to do than OOC praise writers? how unfair is it to give an html award when not everyone is html savvy? i have never seen a community do ooc awards, and i stand by my feelings about it like you do yours.

not really. i don't. my char doesn't talk to many people, but i really love this comm as a whole. everyone not being html savvy is not a good enough reason not to praise people who are. i can't sing, but i don't begrudge talent contests that reward people who do. also, awards are inherently ooc. it's not like our characters are all members of a "click" gild where they fill out ballots and then mail them in and then everyone attends a banquet where they hand out awards ig. now, if someone wanted to go through all that trouble of setting up some awards like that, my girl would probably participate ic, but...come on. how ic could they really be?

and yes, you're right. you can stand by your opinions ic. but there's a way to opt out/not participate, and i'm sure you probably have a friend or two who would be happy to listen to you state your opinion on the awards/agree with you, but what is criticizing them in here fixing? they are the way they are.

people are allowed to have different opinions, but what are they trying to accomplish by sharing those opinions?
