This is the first Hallow's Eve for which I will be celebrating. I'm told I must have a costume and attend a party. How am I to choose a costume? It will be difficult, yes?

Yeah, sure! There are plenty of Ministers walking around and---I had some mates dress up as Hogwarts professors one year! Boy, they can pull a really mean looking Dumbledore if you ask me!

In that way, I believe a costume of a historically famous Vampire would be amicable.

I have been told many stories about Mr. Dumbledore, but I have never known him.

Excellent! Hey! That means I could make a costume of Gregor the Destroyer! He was the Goblin that helped create (and then ultimately ruined, but that's another story) the first ever goblin colony in Scotland!

Professor Dumbledore is really amazing, really! And I didn't---when I said 'really mean looking' I actually meant--err-- that it was a really good costume! Mean meaning...'good'? Sorry if that was confusing at all, I tend to confuse people, especially if English isn't their first language because then they really don't know what I mean.

Mean as in...the definition of what I'm saying. SHUT UP DIRK

Right. That's what all this was about.

You can be a princess?

Why a princess? I do not understand these costumes.

Why can I speak to Goblins and not humans-

Because you don't get to dress up like a princess every day, right? Don't girls like dressing up in pretty dresses and jewelry and stuff? It's a day to do that, be someone you're not.

Not that you couldn't be a princess! You're certainly pretty enough to be one, but then again there are some goblin princesses that aren't too pretty, so I guess it's not a necessary factor.

I have not had such playtime since I was a young girl. To be an adult pretending is like lying, yes?

How do you know this? Do I know you? Do you know a princess?

LYING! YES! That is what Halloween is about! It's the day you get to lie about who you are for fun and no one will get mad at you! It's a day for PRETEND!

Oh, well-Why do I know this- You're always in my department and stuff and my cubicle is right by the door so I just--I can see?

And I do not know a princess! I know how to dress like a princess---I mean! I have three younger sisters, so--they used to dress me up like princesses.
