Yay. I get to be the first comment. I bet you're thrilled. Oh well. This is about why we enjoyed being friends with people in 2008, and since we were for the better part of the year, I felt it okay to reply. I know we handle these things differently, but I just needed closure - I couldn't leave it like it was left, it didn't feel right, not after everything else. Sooo ... I'm sorry if this irritates you or something? Not the intention.

You helped me a lot, and in so many ways through the year. The person I could vent to, the person I could laugh with, the person I could share my hurt and fears with; you were usually the first pick. We went through a lot with each other, and I'll always be grateful for the words and understanding you showed and gave to me; I hope and want you to know that, if nothing else, and that's all this comment is for. I hope you have a happy New Year, Mercedes.
