It had been a long shift, but it was over and it was time to enjoy a pint or two at her favorite pub. Delilah, Del to most, sat on a stool at the bar and drank her Guinness. This was how she unwound at the end of a day. Perched on a bar stool and putting down some pints.

Del thought about just going back to her flat, but she did have to stop and get some groceries. Her icebox was empty except for some beer.

Out of habit she looked around the bar. She quickly did a threat assessment of each person and noted any that stood out above the others.

She turned back to her beer.

"Never boring," she answered. "Though thankfully we don't have nearly the superhuman population that the states has."

"Something like that." She thought about the question for a moment. It wouldn't hurt to go out and share a hot meal with someone. "If you're buying I am," she said with a smile.

"It'd e my pleasure." He answers genuinely enough. SHIELD pays well for someone who can toss trucks around and suck up machinegun rounds, after all. And all he really has to spend it on is leisure and his car. "You'll have to tell me where is good in this town, but you name it, anything you want."

"Well with an offer like that, how can a girl pass it up? I know a few great places nearby."

She tucked a errant strand of hair behind an ear. "I know you probably can't answer, but is something going on in London I should know about?"

He nods. "You're in the right division. I can't tell you too much without clearance and all, making sure you pass inspection, but they're comparing notes with Scotland Yard and British Intelligence, checking up on a couple concerns after all the mess in New York, and trying to prioritize current threats. I'm sure you'll hear about it bright and early tomorrow."

He gets back to her first question, draining the last of his beer. "And that was the idea, make an offer you can't refuse, see what else I can tempt you into."

"Now I know I don't feel like going to work tomorrow," Del joked. There was no doubt about her going to work. She loved working and loved her job. Nothing short of death, even then there were exceptions, would keep her from her job.

"Why, sir, are you trying to corrupt sweet innocent me?" She was hardly innocent, but it was fun to pretend.

Del had to laugh. It had been awhile since she could just relax and engage in light conversation and joke around. She was beginning to get a little too uptight like her father.

"Not bad. Not bad at all."

"They're just fine," Del said with some finality. She took a long drink of her beer. "How are things State-side? We heard about the thing in New York of course."

"State side? Things are a mess. Further we dig, the more places we find Apocalypse's fingers. Secret societies, government programs, terrorists... all kinds of fun. And while the big hit was there, he wasn't planning on stopping at New York. We're finding fingerprints around the globe."
