Izuna Application Pt. 3
[info]bigsigh
2009-06-15 07:40 am UTC (link)
Trying to keep up with his schoolwork along with keeping an eye on Madara's 'secret life' was draining for a seventeen year-old. He would often get mad at himself for bothering, and he and his brother rarely spoke anymore, but it didn't stop him from worrying and staying up all night to make sure Madara would come home safely. Even his eyesight was suffering from reading under dim light and squinting out into the dark window every ten minutes. He would get angry with his brother often, but always for his lack of dedication that he showed for their father's company. Even if the reason for any and all of his anger was that empty room every night, he never said it out loud.

He'd hoped it would get better when their parents left the house and company to them while they went on a cruise. Madara would have no time to do anything unsavory, and he could finally study in peace without worry for his finals. He would be graduating that year, and his grades couldn't possibly get any lower than the top 4 percent of his school. Finally, his parents could be proud of him for once.

Two weeks later, he was the second to hear the news of his parent's death. Pirates. The idea of it was so ludicrous that Izuna had almost punched Madara for making up something like that. But then the lawyers came, and the top corporate employees were sending the brothers their condolences while at the same time congratulating his brother on his inheritance of the lucrative company. If the blow that their parents were dead wasn't harsh enough, Izuna was dealt another one when Madara turned around, sold the company, and went on to waste his life away getting tanked and living it up in the good old American style that Madara had once mocked so openly in childhood letters.

Izuna quietly took his smaller portion of the inheritance, and disappeared to college and university. It would be a year or two before his brother made a real effort to get a hold of him again, but in that time Izuna had given everything his brother had done, he started to find it hard to hate him for it. Madara was all he had left. He'd never have a friend like his big brother. Even if after a hurried mending of their torn relationship was interrupted by Madara blurting out some harebrained scheme about a porn company and a whorehouse.

Madara was still the only person in the whole world he cared about anymore.

It was with a helpless sigh that Izuna gave in, mentioning into the receiver of his phone offhandedly that he'd been studying business and, well, someone had to make sure Madara didn't run it all into the ground before it even had the chance to get started.

Izuna Application Pt. 4

Personality, Likes & Dislikes: Izuna, for all intents and purposes, is a wallflower. He’s the cute, quiet, bookish one that sits in the corner of the conference room when ideas are pitched and adjusts his tie while listening. While he may not seem very interested in people as people, he's really quite polite as long as you get off on the right foot with him, and then keep hopping on it. He's never made friends easily, not that anyone's taken any particular interest in him. He never learned the dirty politics of business the way Madara has, either, so he plays very much by the big book of rules and keeps business very business and keeps pleasure half-business. He keeps himself half-ignorant to any of the actual going-on’s of Feel Good INC., focusing primarily on numbers and trends in the industry instead of what the company's actually putting out. He probably hasn't even watched a single film made within the building, and the blind eye is definitely turned on Madara's little bunny ranch side project. He figures as long as he doesn't get caught up in it, and it doesn't cost the company money, he doesn't have to actually pay attention to what it really is. It is, of course, a useless attempt. He knows exactly what’s going on, but he can play dumb for the sake of his own sanity.

He is Madara's accountant, number-man, friend, brother, and the bringer of ice packs and painkillers for especially hard mornings - Ranging from lowest to highest in importance, of course. While he loves his brother unconditionally, he can't help but be somewhat awkward around him from the lack of communication about most things since they were barely teenagers and the year or so apart didn't help in bridging the gap that had already been there. For now, Izuna's resigned himself to the role of caretaker for his brother, trying to keep him from getting into too much trouble without getting in too deep.

As for likes, Izuna has only a few things he loves in the world. His brother (naturally), evening television, literature, and food. Taped last night's House while he was working overtime? He might actually give you a smile. Use some big fancy words? Maybe get a little hot under the collar. But put a bowl, plate, hell even a takeout box of hot, fresh food in front of him? He'll remember your name and you might get a raise on your next paycheck. It doesn't even matter if it's a couple of corn dogs.

Dislike for Izuna is a much longer, complicated list. He doesn't like a lot of things, but in all honestly you could be beside him for years doing something that annoyed the hell out of him and he wouldn't say a word unless you knew it annoyed him, and he knew that you knew that it annoyed him. It doesn't take much to rile him up or make him upset, but he'll hold back any retaliation until he's at breaking point, in which case he'll probably just jump on you before saying anything at all anyways.

Izuna Application Pt. 5 (AND DONE. ;A;)

Sample Post:

First Person

If I could have everyone's attention, please.

While we value the input and concerns of each and every one of our employees here at Feel Good, I would like to bring attention to the fact that there is no phone line that is dedicated to this purpose. There is a box up on the administration floor and lovely little cards to fill out and put in there. We even provide you with a pen. I assure you, every one of those slips will be read on a weekly if not daily basis.

All of you currently calling the aforementioned phone line, please stop. That is my office line, and I don't have time to listen to you crying and composing yourself before bringing the problem to actual coherent attention. I am also not a counselor, so I'm afraid I will not have any advice for any of you about personal matters, either.

If you would like me to have a phone line to call payroll so we can all be paid in a timely fashion, cease and desist.

Third, manicures and waxes are not covered as a work expense, so you four that have left me receipts for your salons? You have until the end of the day to take them back before I shred them for your privacy and throw them out.

Thank you for your time.

Third Person

Not a single thing that sex can't sell.

Madara had been so proud of himself when he handed Izuna the leaflet a few hours ago, which upon further inspection was ordered wrong anyway, but Izuna didn't have the heart to tell his brother that. He would have, if he'd realized what had just been put into his hands.

Behind the safety of his desk in his (thankfully) private office, Izuna rubbed at the bridge of his nose in agitation. His glasses were already set aside on the desk after the second read-over of the details of some endorsement deal Madara had O.K.'ed and gone through with before even giving him a hint. Why didn't anyone tell Madara that it was a bad idea to fill an entire pool with soda? His brother graduated from the same school system as he did, right? It should be common knowledge that sugar was a bad thing to put in or near.. Certain places of the female anatomy, no matter how healthy and disease-free she may be. Not to mention it was carbonated sugar.

He let out a long, tired sigh, flipping to the release forms of all who were involved in the commercial or magazine ad or whatever it was going to be. Well, at least Madara had remembered to get these forms filled out, or they would have been royally fucked. He'd have to give all of these girls a call and have them come in for tests. Anyone who got into the pool would have to be apologized to (even if they signed the stupid form and should have known this anyways, it was common decency) and directed to visit their doctor as soon as possible.

'Well, there's one thing sex can't sell.' He mused darkly, picking up the phone and getting ready for a good hour or two of being shrilled at while he broke the news.

'Yeast infections.'
