Unlike the previous illusions, this one seems an awful lot like the real thing, at least on initial contact, meaning headbutting him is a lot like a collision with a cement wall.
His grip tightens, and he grins cruelly while the other attempt to tie her legs down while 'Jon' is fighting with her hands.
"They managed to collect enough of his blood to make this illusion a little more like the real thing, sorry. The pterodactyls may not hold him forever, but they're still magical constructs... so they can hurt Kryptonians just fine."
