He's been here a few times before, but it was a year and a half ago, before his long trip to the site Krypton used to be. Warriors is all a part of his homecoming tour of sorts, getting used to Earth and super hero haunts and history again as he goes through his own journey of figuring out just who he is.
The waitress snaps him out of his reverie. Not quite catching quite how she greeted him, at least he gets that she asked him for his drink order. He gives her a genuine smile, and orders the entirely predictable. "Coke, please. With a shot of vanilla if they're still doing that here."
