As though learning the English language hasn't been difficult enough, I'm trying to understand some American terms for when I get to New York.

So far I've learned that 'Soccer' is a muggle sport that is referred to as 'Football' in England, but they do have a sport called 'Football' and it rarely involves the use of feet.

I feel like I need to learn an entirely different language just so I can understand what is happening around me. English is so very confusing. Too many different ways to say the same thing, and too many different ways to spell the same word in order for it to mean something different.

Раздражает.

I'm going to understand this language. Every time I feel I have it figured out, someone thinks of some new word that's spelled with letters that don't belong. The fact that 'ph' makes an 'F' sound is beyond me.
