When babies arrive...
Damien got the call the moment Lian arrived at the hospital. He'd been in Star City, secretly, for several weeks, wanting to be near when his wife delivered their babies. Once she laid eyes upon what they'd created together, she would take him back. She would forget all of her objections and take him back, once and for all.

When Lian is placed in her room, Damien dons doctor's garb, including a mask and cap, and begins checking his wife's charts. She is healthy, but her blood pressure is higher than he'd like. She wants drugs, and she's swearing. Now, she's crying. He will comfort her as soon as the children arrive.

At that moment, handpicked doctors enter the room and proceed to aid him helping deliver the twins.

"Miss Harper? I'm going to need you to push for me, okay? Breathe and push." Damien says.

Soon enough, there's a second cry in the delivery room, and Damien holds up Alexander for Lian to see.

"Look, Beloved. Look at what you did." Damien says, the tears falling freely down his face now. His children were beautiful, like their mother. No matter how angry he'd been with her before now, all of that was forgiven as of this moment.

He takes Alexander over to the nurse to clean him and picks up Donna, handing her to Lian.

"They have all of their fingers and toes, Beloved. These are our children." he says, mopping Lian's brow with a cool cloth, then kissing it.

"Even if I am taken to jail in the next few minutes...it was worth it, just for this moment."

	Lian cradled Donna in her arms, smiling down at her daughter. "Hi, Donna," she said softly. "I'm your Mom." She moved so that Donna was looking at Damien. "That over there? That's Daddy." Her face fell at the mention of Damien getting taken away. "If you knew that would happen...then why did you risk it?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Damien reaches for Alex and holds him, then looks down to Lian.

"This is my family, the three of you. The three of you are worth /any/ risk and /any/ price I must pay." he tells her.

He pauses, waging a debate with himself in his mind.

"Come with me. It is not to late to take our children and run away like we said we would. I...I bought an island for us. A place where they can grow up in peace and safety. A place where we can raise them without interference." he says.

"I need you, Lian. I need our family. Please." Damien begs.

	"My parents and sister know of this place already, and they expect me to go there." Damien says. "We are all more worried over your family and friends starting war with the League to 'free' you.
