Letter before the wedding!

Dear Isobel,

Good morning, my beautiful bride. Now, as tradition stands, I am not supposed to see you before the wedding, which is why I leave my last thoughts as an unmarried man with you like this. We've been through an awful lot, you and I, and I think if either of us thought we'd be going down this road when we first met, we'd both have laughed and cried at the improbability of such an event occurring.

But the truth is, I wouldn't trade, wouldn't alter anything, not one single bit of our history together for the world. And that includes our wonderful baby. Because if I wasn't before I met you, I certainly am now a believer in blessings in disguise, and fate, and soul mates, and all those abstract concepts that things happen for a reason, and a reason we may not understand until long, long after that fact.

Ioan and Elliot asked me if I was regretting the decision to officially be tied down, and I thought about it before answering. I certainly haven't defined myself as the type of bachelor that other, less refined people have, but there are a few habits all single men, regardless. And yet I couldn't even attempt the jocular wink and shrug, you see, that would indicate that I did mind, on some small level. Oh, I've enjoyed my bachelorhood, it's true. But I can't wait to be married to you, Isobel Minerva MacMillan, because I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life waking up with you.

The ceremony seems rather far away, now that I've expressed my eagerness for it to arrive, but I suppose that makes it worth the wait. Love you, my dear Izzie, and I cannot wait to meet you at the altar.

Archie

Astoria's seeing that--oh, dear

Tim!
You will never believe--- to distraught to write properly and cross things out, just so you are aware---

Daphne just told me the most bizarre—and franklyhorrible thing! I can't believe we didn't know! Astoria has been seeing (as in romantically, as in—oh, I can't even delve into details) that Malfoy boy. I will allow time for you to express whatever emotion you are experiencing right now (rage and/or suffering from a panic attack are preferred).

Now, Narcissa is a dear friend of mine, this much is true. I cannot abide by her husband, however, and in what universe, I ask of you, is their son worthy enough to court our daughter? DRACO MALFOY. No!, Tim, what if they do get seriously engaged? Astoria Malfoy, that doesn't roll off the tongue at all, she'll have to keep her maiden name.

Oh, who am I fooling, I can't stand Narcissa half the time! And I mean, what sort of girl finds a bratty boy with slicked back hair attractive! Of course, I'm happy he's clearly able to provide for her, and of course, my parents will be positively pleased, and are no doubt planning some sort of elaborate engagement for their precious granddaughter already, but! Tim! YOU NEED TO COME HOME RIGHT NOW, I AM DISTRAUGHT AND I DON'T WANT MY DAUGHTER TO LEAVE AND—VERY BAD

FROM YOUR WIFE
