[for the past week, he has been trailing this guy, just watching him learning the routine. his work, where he lives, what he does in his free time, some of it was already known as passed on by Madara, now just getting the finer points of it. there wasn't much that this guy did for fun, quite an easy job.]

Mm. Hm. I understand. [hangs up his cell and puts it back into his pocket. looks like the watching is finished with the request coming through to strike. quietly watches for the man to come out of work, ready and waiting to follow.]

	I don't... I don't remember. It was just copies of what we have, and... the list of crime bosses, their connections. Trying to figure out who held the power over Madara. You're loosing too much blood. If you start to feel faint, fight it. [come on you slow car! police sirens mean move! up the opposite side of the street for an overtake is acceptable.] I still have father's contact book. I don't know why I keep it but there would be a hack job doctor in there somewhere we can get to stitch you up. Much better than a hospital. Give you a really gross looking scar.

[pulls up to a grinding halt and rips the keys almost out of the ignition, keeping him on the phone especially with the state he is getting into.] You aren't going to die. I'm here. We are going straight to the hospital. [still doesn't even bother hanging up, stuffs the phone straight into his pocket and runs into the apartment. nice bad guy at least didn't lock the door and force him into breaking it down.] It's not that bad, baby. [sorry brother, no time to be gentle about this, scoops up in his arms, taking one glance at the pool of blood on the floor.] Don't worry about bleeding on my seats. It will add character to them. [gets him downstairs asap and straight into the passenger side, lying the chair back and into the car again, siren shrieking, top speed for the hospital emergency.]

[goes at speeds that would get him in trouble if he wasn't in a pursuit with someone, uncaring at all, pulling straight into the emergency entry of the hospital after five minutes and even then he was cursing it took so long.] Tobirama, we're here. You will be okay. [runs around and grabs him out of the passenger side, carrying him straight through to the emergency entrance avoiding going in the front way.] Officer has been shot off-duty with a weapon of unknown caliber. Bullet has passed through his shoulder and had been bleeding heavily for a known time of ten minutes.

[puts him down on the stretcher and steps back for the medical team to do their work, staring at them fussing around, all that medical stuff he doesn't understand, not listening. caught off guard when someone asks him a question, the tap against the shoulder gets his attention again.] His name? Tobirama Senju. [they seemed to be happy with that, back around Tobirama again calling him by name this time looking for any kind of response back.]

[comes to enough to hear Hashirama talking, though it's muddled with all the people buzzing around him. winces as there's a light shined in his eyes, apparently showing enough consciousness for them to... anesthetize him. tries to lift the fingers in the arm he got shot in but can't seem to get it, or is too doped up on whatever is in that IV they hooked up at some point to feel it. looks up at Hashirama, fear very apparent in his eyes, but then they slowly just slide shut as he's wheeled off to the operating room to be stitched up.]

[wants to get in there and be with him, ushered back out every time he tries being told that they couldn't risk having him there, more of a higher chance of infections and if anything did go wrong, he would just be in the way. nothing was going to go wrong. it was a little scratch on the arm. looking down at the blood over his clothes, there was lot more lost than he thought. what was taking them so long!? there was almost a hole in the floor where he had been pacing, walking the same stop over and over, waiting for anything to come back from the operating theater. the longer it took the more he paces, the more he paces, the higher the intense emotion of anger rose.]
