"Spin me!" Jonas hooted.

The world felt increasingly dizzy as hands turned and turned and turned him on his feet. There was laughter and shouts of "Faster!" and "Make him puke!" but Jonas just grinned through it all.

He was going to get a kiss.

When the spinning stopped, he stutter-stepped forward. He put his hands out to feel for another person as he stumbled around the room to another chorus of giggles.

Finally, his hands landed on a set of arms. They were soft and slightly, pudgy like his own. He wondered who it could be.

"Can I have a kiss?" Jonas asked and puckered. There were gasps and snickers, and no kiss came.

After several seconds, thirteen year-old Jonas pulled off his blindfold and stared incredulously at a terrified and red-faced Bertha Jorkins.

"Well, don't you want a kiss?" he asked quietly.

Bertha nodded slowly, but still didn't make a move -- so, Jonas made it for her. The kiss was clumsy and innocent, much to the delight of the room. Oh, they would be teased for weeks to come, but Jonas didn't care. He'd kissed a girl! He was manlier, now. Sort of.
