"Dawn?" He was looking for her. He was going to do it. This would be it.

Today was the day. He had been attracted to Dawn for months. She was everything he had ever found attractive in a woman. She was pretty, smart, kind, brave in her own way, and she didn't scare him either!

"Yeah?" She looks up from her computer and smiles at him.

"I was wondering...If maybe..." He trails off.

"Maybe what?" She wonders what this is about. Griffen has always been shy. Kind of cute too. And now he is smiling and she has no idea why.

"Go out. On a date. Just the two of us?" He smiles feeling nervous but all of the sudden she's kissing him. Hey! That's a yes, right?

The proposal

He had made the ring he wanted to give Dawn. Their lives were very dangerous and he didn't want her to get upset if he lost it. He had contacted every hero he knew who knew anything about science for adviser.

Doctor Vernard was the most helpful of them all. He had even sent samples of different metals to test out. He would send him a thank you letter later. So long as he did not combust from worrying if Dawn will say yes.

He nervously rambles out the proposal and Dawn just looks at him. Suddenly he feels calm and smiles at her. He would be sending that thank you letter, he realized.

The doctor had to have a nurse check on Griffen. Dawn just sighed very loudly. She should be the one being startled and possibly fainting!

Did he faint? She peers and nods. Okay. Well, who knew finding out that they're having twins after the second one has arrived would make Griffen faint? Well, she should have. Griffen can face gods and demons but it is the normal things that startle her hubby.

She did say if he panicked she would take over naming them.... He never said he minded either.

Steve had heard that one of Svalin's sisters was here after Kang attacked. He wondered which one remembering that there were two sisters. One reminded him of an Ice Queen the way she acted.

If he remembered correctly the other one was like some kind of rouge from an Errol Flynn style movie. Only very female shaped. He went to go see what she was up to. He was curious since she was also an archer.

When he found her he started to have bow envy.

Then she turned and smiled at him.

"I greet thee, Clintson. How art thou," she asks setting aside her bow.

He smiles back because seeing an Asgardian in jeans and a tee-shirt was just weird but cool at the same time. "I'm doing pretty well. I'm uh....Sorry, about Svlain. Are you two close?"

Aridis shakes her head. "Nay. Not as close as mine brother ist with her. She ist mine twin but we art as different as you and Charlie art."

But Steve still has the Best Friendship Ever with Charlie so he thinks Aridis doesn't understand them at all. Perhaps that's the point. He and Charlie might as well be brothers but they aren't while Aridis doesn't have the closeness a sister might want. This deep thinking ain't his thing so he rubs his head. "So. Young hungry? I can see you've been down here a while."

"Aye. Four hours. What ist there to eat?"
Steve is thinking Big Nick's actually. Aridis looks damn good in jeans. "I was thinking we could go out."

She stares at him looking puzzled. "Thou wishes to go out on a date?"

He feels himself blushing. "That isn't what I..." But she is kissing his cheek and smiling warmly. Suddenly he doesn't mind it at all. He'll just see where things go from here.

Aridis was very happy. Sure they had to work at this....thing they had. Steve seemed baffled by her. She was baffled by him.

But it felt right to be in his arms. They had fun training together.

He stormed a castle when a certain Celtic God wouldn't take no for n answer.

And they defiled a table in said castle sending a very clear message. That had been an accident, Steve had claimed and Aridis just giggled loudly as the others looked anywhere but at the young lovers.

It had taken them a while to decide if they would try and have children. Aridis seemed to enjoy the idea when they finally brought it up.

Steve had seen how her face would light up when they saw children while out together.

But it was a surprise when they found a young child in need of a home. It was purely by accident but Steve had fallen in love with the little girl when he saw Aridis bathing her and dressing her in a warm shirt of his to keep the chill off of her. They just looked at each other and knew this is what they wanted.
