Aridis was enjoying her 'vacation' in New York. She was dressed like a mortal. Though she knew with her looks she kept drawing attention. She was very tall and built differently than many mortal women.

She wanted to see more of the city. But it seemed that day would not be today. Monsters to fight, college students to save. Hunky college professors too! She was learning Midgar slang. She loved it.

She wanted to ask him out but didn't know quite how.

Dae blinked at the tall blond who had 'saved' him. "Coffee?"

Somehow she seemed like the sort who enjoyed people. Seeing her face light up he got it. She had been drawn to him.

"Aye. I wouldst enjoy it verily. I art Aridis."

Now he got it. She wasn't just a super powered woman. She was a goddess. "You may call me Dae, lovely Aridis."

They are very different people. She likes the cold he likes the heat. He is from a technologically advanced civilization and Aridis is a goddess.

His features are dark and hers are like the sun.

Not to mention how they have very different ideas on what makes love making good. But they compromise and one of them always begs for something. Anything. Quickly.

Then she decides to tell him how she feels. She is brave like that. Then waits on baited breath.

Dae was nervous.His wife had been in labor for a long time. He had been assured everything would be fine.

But it wasn't. Aslief had to come and aid using magic. That was when she saw the complications were beyond her skill.

So Aslief took a risk and called upon Loki. Aridis needed her Uncle that day. The birthing was still harsh but the loud cries of a baby filled the air.

He would need a name to reflect how hard the battle to bring him into this world, the parents agreed and so they took their time carefully choosing a name.
