Joining in on the fun

The best way to meet the mother of a girlfriend is when weapons are not within reach. Diana informs Keith that he had better watch how he treats Corinna. She hasn't ever had a serious relationship before.

Corinna is embaressed and asks very politely for her mother to put up the sword. This was supposed to be a family dinner. Keith's parents were coming to join them. It was supposed to be peaceful.

Things cool down. Their first big dinner goes very well. Corinna is happy that everyone is happy. Later, when his arm is wound around her and he is rubbing the tension out of her leg he looks at her.

Then smiles slowly.

"I'll be your Prince if you'll be my Queen, babe." She almost hits him for that. But she gets it. She smiles because they won't marry but they will be one.

"I love you too."

They have trouble having children. Corinna thinks they won't be able to. It drives her into a depression because of how painful each disappointment is.

But then, it is a miricale and a gift. They call her Faith. Her hair is dark and her eyes are blue.

She makes every disappointment fade away. Joy is left. That is how their second child is named Joyce. Keith is a proud father who knows every trick the boys will pull when his girls are older.

And he is ready for them.
