98. What three words best describe your personality?

Cooler. Than. Yours. Does that count?

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?

Shoot, anyone who's in ten feet of me knows my thoughts and feelings. I ain't quiet about that kinda stuff. No use in it.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

When my prince charming comes riding up on a big horse, then I'll believe.

11. What does your voice sound like?

What the hell kind of a question is that? I don't know. It sounds like a VOICE. Probably like most other teenage black girls around here, I guess. I mean, it doesn't sound like any damn Hansel and Gretel witch or like Darth Vader or anything. What a weird-ass question.

72. What is your favorite color?

Black, baby. Ain't no other color to be.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The man who once had a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal," and I add to that that all women are created equal as well.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?

Sitting around watching movies, talking to Willa. Why, you wanna go out?

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

I would die for equality. I would die for knowledge. I would die for truth. If I could lay down on the ground and have my blood drained from my veins and watch the world go to gray and know that because of that sacrifice everyone on this earth would be seen as unique and beautiful sisters and brothers, then I would gladly do so.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?

I refuse to step foot in an Old Navy. No goddamn way.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?

Start out the day as optimistic, generally end it as pessimistic, and then start all over again. I'll stay optimistic when someone gives me a reason to.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

No allergies, no diseases. I suppose my only weakness would be my dislike for the sight of my own blood. It makes my stomach turn.

71. What is your most treasured possession?

Myself. Whoever tells you differently is lying. If they didn't have themselves, they wouldn't have their love or their cat or whatever nonsense they're telling you.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.

I'm very good at dialog, at making arguments that allow others to see my opinions, at anticipating the needs of others. I have skills in things such as swimming, sailing, the piano. I'm very good at History and at research and earning my grades, and for those grades that turn out less than they should be, I'm very good at speaking with my professors to change them. I suppose that goes back to making good arguments, doesn't it? I'm an excellent leader and I feel that people recognize that about me even without knowing me well. Many people come to me for guidance or assistance, and I am always so pleased to help them. I'm sorry, I've forgotten the other part of the question.

42. What are your religious views?

It's important for a man to believe in something and to have some sort of convictions, even if that belief is in himself.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

Of course I enjoy spending quiet evenings with myself, but I do try to keep up old acquaintances, as well as make new connections. I'm no shrinking violet, I'm sure you'll find.

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?

It has made me who I am.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?

I would like to be admired. But I ask you to find someone that wouldn't like such a thing.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.

I live alone in an attic apartment not far from campus. There's ivy growing up the side of the home and a long staircase. I think it rather suits me well. You're, of course, welcome to stop by. I'm not always in, but you may leave me a note.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

I find myself to be respectable, and assume that others show that respect. If they don't, then it's rather foolish of them.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

If I changed something, I wouldn't know who I was. I hope it's not arrogant of me to say that I would never change anything.
