1. Unexpectedly Kikuya found herself expecting one year after first giving herself to Hajime. Though her commitment to being a geisha and a symbol of Japan was very strong her commitment to bringing Hajime joy was stronger. She retired and married Hajime. A title change permitted Kikuya to remain part of BH6.

2. Kikuya miscarried in her fifth month. It devastated her, but she did not show her agony to anyone.

3. A second pregnancy ended the same way at precisely the same point. Considering herself to have failed Hajime, she began seeking a suitable professional for him but...

4. She conceived a third time.

5. After an arduous pregnancy Kikuya had twins and proudly presented to her husband both a son and a daughter. Both are handy with a sword.
