As a result, I read up on Esperanto a little bit.
Did you know that over a million people are believed to speak Esperanto nowadays? That there are probably a thousand native (!) speakers? And that Esperantists were executed during the Holocaust because Hitler thought that the language was a tool of the Jewish conspiracy, used in striving for world domination?
I most certainly did not.
I also had no idea what to do with this book. So I posted about it on the Dutch BookCrossing forum.
Within a few postings, a great destination was found for the book:
First, it'll go to
boekenxnl, who is gathering books in as many languages as she can, as a personal challenge.
Then, she'll pass it on to
SylS, whose uncle can read Esperanto and will probably glad to have it.
So this rather old book will most likely make several people happy, and eventually be read as well. Some books have all the luck.
