I was so nervous when I first met my boyfriend. We both decided to meet at a mutual friend's house in Canada (I lived in Northern New York and he in California). It seemed like no matter what I did, I felt ugly and awkward until he swept me into his arms at first sight to plant a kiss on my forehead. I hope the nervous awkwardness diminishes shortly after meeting him and you're able to enjoy the other's presence.
