Yes. Apparently the Headmistress asked the Board of Governor to be present at the Ball, and of course, when has my mother ever declined an invitation?
No, I didn't exactly tell her, because that would make her show up even faster, but now I'm left debating whether to dress up after all and use a rather concealing mask, or hide in the common room all night. The latter sounds rather appealing, if I'm honest, but I wouldn't want you to go to the ball by yourself. So now you have to help me find a costume.
