The only thing that kept him sane during that time as his music, still playing the guitar all through the rest of his schooling years that hopefully soon would pay off, finding a notice on a billboard for a band that was in need for a guitarist that he went to audition for. It was not always the best of times between him and the other members especially with one in paticular that he was constantly bickering with, something about him and his carefree nature that he couldn't put his finger on that got under his skin. That still didn't stop him from agreeing with the rest of them to go to America to try and make it big, packing up and shipping out leaving all the past behind him.

Living the rock star dream was not some glamorous tale, the hard work and effort he had to put into it was constantly a never-ending struggle when others weren't willing to pull their weight. Tensions grew even more between them until Kakashi took matters into his own hands to sort it out. It wasn't meant to go down like that and it would soon end his career that he had strive so hard to achieve. After a disagreement that went too far, he ended up down at the hospital getting his hand patched up after cutting himself so deep that it severed tendons leaving him unable to play the guitar properly again.

That dream was dead.

Shortly after that, the band went their separate ways and they lost touch with each other. Kakashi floated around from city to city looking for work. He tried to get into other bands for filler positions, unable to do more than a set, two if he was pushing it. Taking other avenues for cash he took up a couple of random modelling jobs ranging from toothpaste to Target catalogues, nothing to call a real living but it got him by. During that time away from it all, he started to see things in a different light, how his ways were the reason why he was no longer able to play and slowly he started to change influenced by an old friend. Kakashi started to lighten up and not take everything so seriously, enjoy himself instead of pushing himself too hard and just sit back and observe for once. Eventually he landed himself in Los Angeles once again on the look out for something to do to see him through to the next move if he decided not to settle on this place. Time would see if he would or not, if there was anything there to keep him grounded for more than a couple of months.

Sample Post/Prompt: Lost in L.A.

Finding your way around a new city should be easy, should be. There are always signs for tourists that point out which way to go and where the exciting attractions are for the city, maybe a bus route that would take you by some of the major features of the city like shopping centers, parks... anything. Nothing at all that he could at least find. Okay so being new in a city wasn't exactly the walk in the park he would thought it would be and at this rate, he was going to be late for his job interview. Better start thinking up excuses now on why he was tardy for what ultimately could be his new employment.

Umm he couldn't find a bus... no everyone used that. He got lost. As true as it was, it would not fly with employers and they usually gave a big argument on if you want this job, you should at least have prepared earlier. How about he saved a little old lady from bring crushed to death by a billboard! That happens all the time in everyday life. Now that was an excuse for the ages.

A further walk down the path to find something that would point him in the right direction, scanning up, down, all around for that sign he was waiting for. And there it was. Across the road was a bus loading up passengers that was heading who knows where but it had to lead him somewhere. Anywhere. Out of this area at least because it was clearly not the one he needed to be in. Shoving his hand up in the air calling for him to stop like if he was a taxi needing to grab their attention, Kakashi proceeded to run across the road to make that bus before it drove off. Cars honked and screeched to a halt, heads out the window abusing him for not watching where he was going, one finger salutes raising just as high as his own hand giving their own signal of attention.

So close, so very close. He had braved broken limbs and death to get to the bus only to see it pull away from the curb right when he was at the opposite side of it, clearing the path for him to get back up on the footpath but now he was busless. Puffing and panting, his hands rested on his knees, hunched over taking a quick breather to get his heart rate back down to normal after its near-death experience. Well. That wasn't exactly the way it was supposed to go. Now no amount of excused he could use could save his ass, he would be...

Kakashi's eyes suddenly sparkled brightly as he caught a glimpse of what he was in front of, the display in the shop window calling out to him like a sign from the gods. It was the most stunning thing he had ever seen in his life. "The new one is out," he gasped out loud to himself. His holy oasis was there beckoning him to come and have a taste of the sweetness displayed in the form of rows of neatly displayed books and cardboard cut outs.

A look to the left, another to the right, looking like the most shadiest of people making sure they weren't being watched while entering a whore house before throwing himself at the window of the store arms wide, snuggling the boundary with his cheek. The third book! How long had he waited for this moment. With all the shifting around between states, he hadn't been keeping up to date with the release and now out of nowhere it was here. He had to buy it. Losing a job was a worthwhile cause for one of the most greatest series of all time. Nothing was going to stop him from owning that book and spending the next day glued to it in heart racing suspense.

...Oh...

There was something that would stop that from happening such as the moths that were fluttering out of his wallet when it was opened, dead ass broke. This was cruel plot device. The love of his life was right there just out of grabs, the flashing lights around the display yelling at him to come in an buy were taunting him. It was... Kakashi sighed and stepped back, wiping away the face print he had left behind from his up close and personal viewing. Okay, so now he really did need that job, that was becoming more and more apparent.

Stuffing his hands back in his pockets looking down inwardly forlorn for his loss, a piece of paper came tumbling by in the breeze tacking to his leg, fluttering about wanting to move but not able to. First no job, then no book and now getting rubbish caught to you. Kick you while you are down is one thing but repetitively stomping you in the balls was another. "Huh...?"

Maybe not. After prying the paper from his leg and dusting it off, it appeared to be an advertisement of some sorts. "Nixcore." Strange name for a company. One thing that stood out clearly was the bolded emphasis on the fact that it was a company that made adult movies. That was perfect. He knew more than enough about them, an expert in the field really and these places paid big money to work in them according to half of the documentaries and interviews that he read about them.

A look back at the book in the store window and then down to the pamphlet, humming in decision if he should go for it or not. What the hell. There could be at least something he could do there even if it was picking up trash and left over soiled refuse. Sure, a 9 - 5 job had perks for stability, it had holidays, it had office bitching and all the tomfoolery associated being cramped in a room with stuffy air-conditioning.

And that was Kakashi's mind made up.

Nixcore it was. First thing was first... how long until that bus came back and would it even take him anywhere near there.

Welcome! Be sure to do the following with your character journal:

o1. Comment to the friend add/remove entry. Here, you will also add all the players to your IC journal. Join both the IC (

nixcore) and the OOC (

nixedandfixed) communities.

o2. Once you are friended, you'll be able to view certain friends-locked entries. Next, you will go here and fill out the player contact information. When we dot all the "i's" and cross the "t's," we will promptly add you to the official taken characters list.

o3. Once you've gotten the contact information filled, please go fill out the character preferences form so that players will know what you're open to roleplay.

o4. Please also take the time to add a phone post to your character journal. The phone posts are used for characters to communicate outside of the company journals. Once done, please comment to this post with your information.

o5. There's a post here that you need to read and comment on. ♥

o6. And finally, please disable the custom comment pages on your character journal. Information on how to do and and why we do it can be found here. Also there is how to work out layouts on Scribbld, if you're new to this. ♥
