Sin had been somewhere in the Arabic world when word came to her that it might be a good idea for her to return to Star City. News of Lian's entanglement with the League had traveled fast, at least in the information circles Sin moved in and while she had half a mind to track down Damien Wilson and have words with him (which would inevitably lead to a game of chess and then a battle to not quite the death with Morgaine) there were more important things to consider. Roy's precarious state of health, for one. The death of Cerdian, for another. It taken time for Sin to extricate herself from her present work, so things were a small bit quieter when she returned to Star City. She would see her parents later in her visit. Lian was the priority and she made her way to the Outsiders base first, sneaking in undetected like the good ninja she was and waiting for Lian.

Lian sighed again. She knew she didn't have to hide things from Sin. She never had to.

"I'm a mess, Sin. My best friend is dead, the man I love is the head of the deadliest organization in the world, and I'm carrying twins. I'm going to be a single mom, and while I know I have my friends and my family, I'm terrified as all hell Sin. I have no idea if I'm even going to be a halfway decent parent."

	Sin nodded, just listening. Unlike most, she wasn't going to offer the consoling words of you'll be just fine or their ilk. The gravity of her situation was important for Lian to grasp and Sin was, on a certain level, pleased that the woman could do so. "So what are you going to do to make things work? She knew that she was in deep. She'd known that for awhile.

"I know I'm going to need to get a job. I'm not going to ask for money, though I know that Ollie would probably be willing to help. It's my mess, not his, and I can't ask him to just hand things to me on a silver platter. I need to start shopping, and make sure I have everything I need. I can't let this shake me up. I have to be strong right now."

"You got to know a side of him very well. We should never assume that we know anyone with pure intimacy. Nonetheless, you need to be aware of things. He is a man betrayed and that is a type of hurt that often breeds irrational anger. Your safety could be quite at risk, and I hope you do not dismiss that with thoughts of 'but he loves me'.

"Your friends need to step up security here. I got in too easily."

Sin shook her head. She realized that she would not get Lian to understand that she only knew elements of the man, that no one could ever know anyone completely enough to accurately and fully predict their actions and reactions when deep emotional hurt was involved. This was a failing she herself had, on more than a few occaision, so she could not claim to be perfect but...people only show others, even those they trust, what they want them to see.

"You are also not considering the people around him. Please think with some detachment from your predicament. Think...like your mother would think."
