Peter's hands around his neck remind Sylar of how long it's been since he's had anyone touch him with any sort of passionate intent. He knows that even with Claire's power, it will be only be a matter of time until he passes out from lack of oxygen. A thumb pressing into his windpipe draws him back to more urgent matters.

"You," he rasps, now certain that he's the favorite in the family for the time being, "let me go." The 'request' is coupled with an icy hand pushed up against Peter's chest. Unsurprisingly, his throat is free in a matter of seconds. He should be gasping for air, grateful of the release ... but all he can do is fist a hand in Peter's hair and drag him in for a kiss that has him just as breathless and with bright spots in his vision.

Someone who understood was all that Gabriel Gray had ever wanted.
