Sarah had been in Gotham for far too long. She had done everything asked of her to the best of her ability too and it still was not enough. After her last meeting with the person she was forced to work for she was hit with a deep wave of depression and helplessness.

Which is why she hadn't gone out to scare up some trouble. Instead she was well into her second bottle of wine and still taking a bubble bath trying to feel better. It really wasn't helping. She just kept getting more and more blue feeling the longer she sat there in the still hot water.

Slowly she stretches and drains off some water so she can not only add more hot water to the tub but she needed to rinse her hair again.

It was because of that she din't detect someone finding their way into the darkened safe house.

	She takes the shirt from him. "Just remind yourself you'd like me sober," she can't help but wink at him. "I think we'd have more fun. You could get me to confess what I think I might like tonight and use it on me when I'm... in better shape." And she disappears into her bathroom to pull that shirt on. He stares after her as she leaves. Yes, he may be imagining Sarah in his shirt. Only his shirt.

Great, well there was no way he could cut this off now. He had offered her his help with her mob problem, and even if you disregarded whatever this was between them...he'd stand by that. So screw innerBatman, who he's been awfully good about silencing, he liked her, she seemed to like him. No reason to throw that all away. Sure he shouldn't trust her too much but she wasn't dangerous.

When she comes back he gives her a smile and teases a little, "So...here's the part where I get you to confess what you'd like Foxy."

Funnily the robe is tied shut again. This time though he can see the shirt is helping her stay somewhat modest. She kind of needs that right now because as much as she really likes Robin and is normally totally comfortable with herself she needs a little bit of separation from that right now.

"So many things," she teases as she settles back onto the couch. She's going to nibble at that slice of pizza again because she's pretty hungry right now.

He patiently waits as she eats, thinking how to get her to tell him more about this blackmailing business. Because he knows that entirely sober she may not tell him much, he needs to take advantage of the situation.

After a comfortable silence he finally decides that he'll just be direct. "How long?" He means the blackmailing, and that's pretty clear from his face. He won't be of much help if she doesn't tell him things.

	"I'd rather not say." She's going to look away again. Right now she gets the feeling she has said too much already. What's funny is part of her knows if she just gives in and lets him have everything he wants she might be freed. But part of her can't fully believe anything will really change. Even though he fully expected that answer, it didn't make it any less frustrating. How did she expect him to be of any help?

He takes her hand so she'd look him in the eye. "Sarah, I said I'd help you okay? I can't help you if you don't help me out. So who is it?" She had his help, he'd already made that clear, all she needed to do was let him help. He does hope that she'll let him, although even if she didn't tell him he'd still be looking into this one way or another.

Cat's out of the bag after all.

She shifted slightly not even sure why she just gave in like this. Couldn't be the wine. Maybe she needed to trust him some more. Even if he ended up not being someone she could really trust well.... once he figured it all out she was sure he'd understand why she hadn't just run away from Gotham. Then she'd be able to trust him as much as she actually wanted to.

Batman would press for more information. Names, specifics, anything really. And as much as he wants to do the same, she's given him enough to go on. It's not much but it's a start. Besides, she wasn't some thug that he'd be okay with dangling off a roof for information, she'd had a long day and he wasn't here to make it worse.

But she looks so depressed so he wraps an arm around her not caring if it was the bleeding one or not and pulls her in close. "Thanks Sarah."

They stay like that for a bit all while he's running through how to ask this next part in a way that won't seem like he's taking advantage of her position or that he was only helping her for this.

"Sarah? ...Could you do me a favour?" He idly strokes her hair and looks across the room as he asks. "If...if the Maronis were planning something. Something big or the like, could you...warn me? Or at least hint at it for me?" He had to ask, it was almost an obligation but he still didn't want her to think he was only helping her for this.

	She had just gotten really comfortable too. To the point where she had tilted her head so her cheek could rest against him. "I've tried to in the past," she admits. "Or do you think I'm in the habit of letting anyone see me slipping out of a place I'm robbing?" She looks up at him with a raised eyebrow. Really. A master thief like her getting caught? He just raises an eyebrow back. "And you don't think I know some potential mob targets? Enough to perhaps anticipate where you'll be found once in a while?" It's clear what he's thinking, just because she was good enough not to get caught by most people didn't mean she was good enough not get caught by him. Hell, Catwoman was occassionally caught off guard too.

"I mean...something more than the odd hint I make you give up in exchange for letting you go. If there's something big and dangerous...tell me?" He knows he's asking a lot here but he has to. Gotham came above all.

	"I can do that," she agrees. She looks up at him with a faint smile. "I kind of enjoy getting chased by you. You're very good at catching me." She closes her eyes again as she relaxes against him. "Hey! Funny on your end, and fine I'll admit I'd laugh too if I didn't need to deal with it. Waited twenty to see if they'd get in, put tracers on their leader and their lookout, left to go break up a mugging and a bar fight then went for a hotdog. When I got back they had just broken in. I mean...all that waiting just to charge them with something."

He smirks down at her, "Well an hour with you would mean fifteen at most inside the place and then the rest having a fun chase across town. You have no idea how much I prefer that."

He can't help but tease. "Foxy...you and I both rely on not getting caught to do our jobs. Are you really that worried?" Now he's positively grinning. "And who said anything about robbing places? We can do museum round two or something like that. Or just a good old fashioned chase."

He leans down so their noses are almost brushing, "If you ask nicely I might give you an extra headstart."
