it's 3 am. what are your children doing?
What would you say are the trademarks of my writing? What themes or quirks or turns of phrase have you noticed? What is it that makes a story by me -- well, a story by me?

AND

Certain characters of mine have been dosed with a potion that makes them tell only the truth.. Ask them any question that you want, and he or she will answer truthfully!

I don't know. I mean, maybe. He can be a real prick sometimes when he doesn't get his way, and he overthinks things way too much sometimes. And Jesus fucking Christ, sometimes I like to be top, okay? And with Claire (how many fucking times, Edward, her name was Claire), that was kind of the only way it could go. So.

Does he ever annoy me? Oh, sure. Sometimes I really want to punch him in the head. I mean, I don't like him any less for it, it's just how he is, but God, I don't know why he's so insecure and relies on Skip so much. Sometimes it's like Skip is a third person on our dates even when he's not there! So yeah, sometimes I wish he was different, but mostly in that I wish he wasn't so dependent on other people for validation. It's a little pathetic. He needs to learn to stand on his own two feet.
