What would you say are the trademarks of my writing? What themes or quirks or turns of phrase have you noticed? What is it that makes a story by me -- well, a story by me?

AND

Certain characters of mine have been dosed with a potion that makes them tell only the truth.. Ask them any question that you want, and he or she will answer truthfully!

Dot re: never ever ever
I would never... whore myself out. I have dignity, even if it doesn't look like I do sometimes. And I would never change myself (personality-wise) for a guy. I mean, if I met someone who wanted me to stop drinking, that might be some good initiative, you know? But I'm not going to change who I am and what I think for anyone. I'll never censor myself to please someone.

Laura re: Marlowe
No, not at all! None of what happened to me was his fault. We were way too careful, so I think me running into Balfour was a fluke. I don't regret getting involved with him. I think maybe I regret that I couldn't convince him to go to the police before that poor boy got killed. But, like I said... I don't think Marlowe's a bad person for it. People make mistakes. Lord knows I've made plenty of them, and maybe getting involved was a mistake, but I wouldn't say I regret it.
