but i think gale thought he was doing right, especially by her. i don't think he realized how wrong what he was doing was until later, if at all and sadly i think that's how it is in the real world a lot of the time too. war makes people think and do crazy things they might not otherwise and had they not been put in the situations they were i don't think he would have done that

i agree with this, i know he was just following what he thought was best but it was selfish and why i felt he was terribly suited for her. even if their situation had been different, he would still be that kind of person, you know? while peeta put her first which was something katniss really needed, i think, because she's never had that as the caretaker in her family
