when did you get your first laptop or a computer that was your own and you didn't have to share? i was junior in high school and that was when my mom finally gave up trying to tell me to get off the computer and go to bed

i was sixteen when i got my own desktop but i had to use dialup until i got a job and could pay my share of the wireless bill

OKAY GUYS I HAVE AN IDEA I WANT TO RUN BY EVERYONE SO LISTEN UP!!! i know a lot of our characters (7th years mostly but this would help 6th years too) are a little lost on what to do professionally so i was thinking of going through the ministry departments and writing up a list of jobs and descriptions. most of them would NOT be canon, i need to stress that so everyone understands what i'm saying here but they would be jobs in canon departments, i wouldn't make any of those up. but i would do my best to create jobs that aren't outlandish and i think make sense within every department, and maybe i could give them to the mods and the mods could post them and everyone could discuss what to change or what they want to veto or add things if they'd like. i also thought we could maybe make up our own ideas of what unspeakables do in each of the mysteries departments so characters who want to get into that profession have a more rounded idea of what they're doing. but i understand if this makes anyone uncomfortable, i just thought it might help to give us our own canon ideas for the future that people can base their direction on!

i did my communications theory term paper on media ecology and social media so i went through all the old social media sites like friendster and shit like that and i remembered nearly all of it, it was awesome... but an obvious sign that i've spent too much time on the internet
