Tallie's impeccable work ethic meant most of the time she had no problem completing her holiday work way ahead of time, and that day in the Easter holiday was no exception: it was only a couple of days into the break, and she had just finished a long essay on the uses of runespoor eggs in Potions. Part of her contemplated ploughing straight into her next piece of work, but she figured that she deserved a break for the day - it was the holidays, after all.

Once she had put all of her school supplies away neatly in her room, Tallie drifted downstairs, looking to see who might be around. It was quieter than usual (partly why she had chosen that day to get a headstart on her work), so she supposed most of the Chandars were out of the house, but surely there had to be someone around.

Tallie was glad to hear that Parvati had had similar thoughts, worried that she hadn't been helpful in not being able to choose between the two. "I'm here to help!" she replied sweetly with a little laugh when Parvati tapped her chin, very much enjoying being on the receiving end of motherly little gestures such as these which still came as a pleasant surprise to her. She was glad to see that she hadn't just been called in for the one opinion, and was quick to shake her head when Parvati apologised and asked if she was busy. "Oh, no! I was looking for someone to talk to, actually-- I finished my essay," she explained, grinning earnestly with pride as she mentioned her completed school work.
