He furrows his brow. "No.. you're misunderstanding. The Fertilizor was only necessary because the entire population had been rendered sterile by the brutes' contraceptive bomb. Our method of reproduction is... ah... asexual is the closest term your planet's lifeforms have as comparison. Our regeneration requires the formation of a close emotional bond with another, but it is a genetically singular process."

Varon pauses, then blushes and turns his head. "We are still... uhm... capable of those sort of procreative acts... the sticky stuff, I mean, but it is simply not the way of our culture. After what Avia taught me though, I am at a loss for why my people ever stopped though..."

Varon touches his palms to his chest. "It is a projection of the spirit and the self, that coalesces into matter. Mind you, Varon and mighty Vartox are exceptionally powerful, but all Tynolans possess sufficient power to reproduce in this manner. It is not inconceivable that, in another few centuries of evolution and spiritual enlightenment, Terrans might achieve this as well."

Otherwise how could you work with the--" he stops himself, lest anyone be listening, "--your friends, and not ever live in a constant state of paranoia? Never knowing when they might grow too wary of your lineage and scientific acumen and believe you need to be locked away for your own good before you attempt to conquer the world in a fit of rage."

He smiles. "I don't think you'd do that."

Not so long as he's around, anyway, to keep him on the straight and narrow.
