With the increasing of homeland security and the protection of muggleborns at an all time high, the Ministry has implemented new regulations concerning the marriage of a muggleborn wizard or witch to any pure or halfblooded member of wizarding society. The benefits of a marriage to these two blood types is not to be tampered with or abused and the Ministry has created the Marriage Act to ensure that its laws are being followed as they were initially meant to be.

A quick overview of the Marriage Act:

Beginning on October 6th, 1979, Muggleborn wizards and witches who married to pure and halfbloods within the past five years will report to the Ministry for an exam that proves the marriage was made out of commitment to one another and not to violate the protection laws implemented for the benefit of muggleborns.

If an exam is failed, the muggleborn wizard or witch in question will be sentenced to prison for a time determined on the duration of the 'marriage' and other surrounding elements. The marriage will be abolished in the eyes of the Ministry. 90% correct answers is required for the exam.

Exams will be conducted orally and separately to ensure that cheating does not occur.

An exam schedule will be mailed to those in question before Monday, as the exams will occur through the week.

	This is insane. I have a bloody daughter with my husband, and if you asked any of our friends they would tell you that we were together long before any of these ridiculous rules or this...this DICTATORSHIP came into place. The government has no place to dictate the reasons behind marriage or tell its people how they should live within the privacy of their homes. (Reply to this)(Thread)

There's no way that they're not gonna see how long we've been married and how long we've been together before that and not show SOME bloody mercy. Em, you've got pictures of everything! We can show them pictures if they don't believe us. Hard evidence, right? Hell, ANGIE is hard evidence! She came about way before any of this shite came up!

So, wait, wait -- Did you just find out of have you known for a while? I mean, wow. Babe, this is just bloody amazing, the timing is just -- well, actually, maybe it's perfect. If I mess anything up, you'll still be fine, Angie'll be fine, and so will the little guy. That's all that matters. They're not going to put a pregnant bird in jail, don't worry about it.

I just found out, literally, this morning. I didn't feel well so I had them run a few stomach virus tests and they came back negative and then we ran a pregnancy test and--blue sparks. ~~Blue, we're having a little~~

You're not going to fail it. You will answer things perfectly and everything we say will line up. Angie will be fine. He will be fine. We're all going to be fine.

As soon as I finish up my clinical paperwork, love.
