AUROR SLAIN IN DEATH EATER ATTACK

Dorcas Meadows, second year auror, was killed last night at Godric's Hollow during a death eater attack. This is the second time the village has been attacked within the past year, and residents of the once quiet area are reporting that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was part of the battle.
"I saw her! I saw that girl, she was fighting him," Barnaby MacDougal, owner of the bakery in the plaza, "Not that--not that I know what he looks like, but--but who else could it have been?"
Meadows was a bright star in the auror program, advancing rapidly through the ranks and trusted with many high security assignments. She finished top of her training class and graduated from Hogwarts as a Gryffindor in 1977, where she was a member of the quidditch team, helping Gryffindor earn two championship cups. Recently engaged, Meadows planned to marry hitwizard Derek Dobbs later this year. Her family, who live in Godric's Hollow, could not be reached for comment. |
