"If I flashed you all the time, it wouldn't have the same effect," Sammy said with a smirk. The compliment made her whole evening. She'd dressed for his expression, not for the locals. Daddy would have a heart attack if he could see her now. "If you could put it on your daily calendar, it wouldn't a surprise when it happens."
She grinned at the idea of Jason carrying a gun, but she couldn't say it wasn't unexpected. The spy game had that effect on agents. She took his arm and stepped out of the car.
"Mr. Landon," she said demurely. "I am having a wonderful time, although I think you greatly overestimate the need for a gun tonight."
